The project stems from the desire to incorporate the forecasts included in the ATU 10 Stephenson urban regeneration project. The perimeter of the area is defined by the motorway to the north and the railway to the south, which create an insurmountable physical and visual barrier. The natural and instinctive consequence is the rising to look beyond these limits.

The building has a recognizable and innovative architecture that rises to the sky, maximizing space for greenery and public areas. The shape expresses the desire to make the building visible, it is built along three main lines defined by the accesses, the free views created between the existing buildings and the points of reference.

Externally the attention is captured by the large glazed openings of the north, south-east and south-west fronts, allow a panoramic view of Milan, while the building’s skin, consisting of a double expanded sheet, protects the glazed facade from direct radiation.

Il progetto nasce dal desiderio di integrare le previsioni incluse nel progetto di rigenerazione urbana ATU 10 Stephenson. Il perimetro dell’area è definito dall’autostrada a nord e dalla ferrovia a sud, che creano una barriera fisica e visiva insormontabile. La conseguenza naturale e istintiva è l’innalzamento della costruzione per guardare oltre questi limiti.

L’edificio presenta un’architettura riconoscibile e innovativa, che si eleva verso il cielo, massimizzando lo spazio destinato al verde e alle aree pubbliche. La forma esprime la volontà di rendere l’edificio visibile ed è sviluppata lungo tre linee principali, definite dagli accessi, dalle viste libere create tra gli edifici esistenti e dai punti di riferimento.

All’esterno l’attenzione è catturata dalle ampie aperture vetrate dei fronti nord, sud-est e sud-ovest, che offrono una vista panoramica su Milano, mentre la pelle dell’edificio, costituita da una doppia lamiera stirata, protegge la facciata vetrata dalle radiazioni dirette.
