The temporary expansion of the Rimini Exhibition Centre, designed for a five-year duration, was commissioned by Italian Exhibition Group to meet the growing demand for exhibition space during the city’s major annual events. The project comprises two temporary halls (B8 and D8), a new central entrance hall, and two connecting structures linking to the permanent complex, for a total extension of approximately 8,300 m².
Completed in just four months through the use of highly prefabricated modular construction systems and rigorous site coordination, the intervention combines functional efficiency with high standards of visitor comfort. From an architectural perspective, the design maintains formal continuity with the existing exhibition centre, reinterpreting its modular grid, chromatic palette, and material choices.
The compositional focus lies in the main entrance, conceived as a semi-courtyard defined by the two halls and the central entrance hall: a welcoming space characterized by extensive glazing and carefully designed landscaping, which lend lightness and environmental quality to a temporary structure of notable architectural value.

L’ampliamento temporaneo del Quartiere Fieristico di Rimini, con durata prevista di cinque anni, nasce dall’iniziativa di Italian Exhibition Group per rispondere alla crescente domanda di spazi espositivi nelle principali manifestazioni del capoluogo romagnolo. Il progetto prevede due padiglioni temporanei (B8 e D8), una Hall d’ingresso centrale e due corpi di connessione con la fiera permanente, per un incremento complessivo di circa 8.300 m².
Realizzato in soli quattro mesi grazie a sistemi costruttivi modulari ad alta prefabbricazione e a una rigorosa organizzazione di cantiere, l’intervento unisce efficienza funzionale e comfort per i visitatori. Dal punto di vista architettonico, l’opera mantiene coerenza formale con il complesso esistente, riprendendone modularità, cromie e materiali.
Il fulcro compositivo è l’ingresso principale, configurato come una semicorte definita dai due padiglioni e dalla Hall: uno spazio di accoglienza caratterizzato da ampie vetrate e da un attento inserimento di verde, che conferiscono leggerezza e qualità ambientale a un intervento temporaneo di alto valore architettonico.
