WHAT A VIEW! A New theatre for Montespertoli – 2nd prize

The project for the new Civic Theater of Montespertoli – runner-up in municipal competition – was born in 2022 to respond to the municipal administration’s need to build a new cultural space for the community, while at the same time performing an important urban redevelopment.

Designed for theatrical, opera, and film performances, the tower’s structure adapts to three possible configurations, making it usable throughout the year: when there are no performances, in fact, the central space becomes a square, while the side wings become shaded areas ideal for resting, and the bar inside the foyer acts as a link between the square and the surrounding park.

Thanks to a modern lighting system and the building’s distinctive elliptical structure, the final effect is decidedly striking and makes the theater an open-air monument that ideally embraces spectators.
