RIMINI MUNICIPALITY: NEWS ON THE BATHING SAFEGUARD PLAN
As reports the Municipality of Rimini, the Bathing Safeguard Plan (PSBO) works are proceeding: by the beginning of the summer, the call for tender for the construction of the retarding basins in Piazzale Toscanini and at the Artemisia Gentileschi gardens in Rivazzurra is expected to be announced.
The two works, managed by Hera, “represent decisive works to increase hydraulic safety in the area and will contribute to transforming the urban context, following the path traced with the Piazzale Kennedy belvedere, which has now become an iconic place in the city and one of the landmarks of the seafront, both for Rimini residents and tourists,” emphasises Rimini’s Councillor for the Environment Anna Montini.
The new Piazzale Kennedy, realised by mijic architects, is part of the PSBO and has combined technical volumes connected to the imposing underground hydraulic work with the opportunity to create a belvedere, an unusual and privileged viewpoint over Rimini beach.
