Documentary “Wings and Roots” – Monograph of mijic architects

Between multidisciplinarity and internationalization, the project is intended as an articulate process of synthesis and understanding, a relationship and mixture of disciplines, between different souls and skills, translating into research on the complexity of places, territories, economies and, simultaneously, of architecture. A practice that develops out of the different experiences of the members of the firm, capable of interpreting and measuring every single intervention on its place of belonging.

“Creating a project”, through a concrete thought, combining architecture and engineering, wings and roots, a creative approach and a pragmatic one, parallel lines in continuous tension and balance between vision and dialogue, matter and technology. A relational project capable of reading and translating the needs of the territory, society, local administrations and clients into living spaces.

An example of this are the different projects for public spaces and architectures, such as Piazzale Kennedy in Rimini, an intervention which met the city’s need to address technological issues related to the hydraulic control and containment of rainwater, then rethought in an architectural way in order to create a place for inclusion, accessibility and social connectivity.

Interpretation, experimentation and innovation: a project focused on technological developments and changes in contemporary society, which can work on composition, form, material and functions and investigate different typological and multi-scale areas, from school architecture, open and flexible, to hospital architecture, up to the spaces for sport and speed in the various projects for the Misano World Circuit.

Awareness and responsibility as crucial parameters not only for the creative, cultural and constructive process of the work, but also for the dynamics of urban transformation and regeneration, where the role of the architect and architecture becomes manifest within the community and the historic context.

A made-to-measure project, in the continuous search for a possible balance, combining research and contextualization, progress and the memory of places, dialogue and vision. Working on time and in time, a careful and sensitive reflection, wings and roots of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
