The project concerns the elevation and expansion of a 50’s single family house. Situated on a long and narrow lot without the possibility of side additions, the only expansion opportunity was by adding a new level. Wide openings identify the narrow sides of this expansion, together with a roof opening in order to illuminate the central part. An important living room is obtained by a double height space, which becomes the focal point of the house. The elevation is made by poroton bricks, laying on concrete and steel structure (this one to obtain the cantilevered loft). The roof structure is made by two laminated wood beams, where is the skylight, while the cladding is in embossed metal.
