2006 - New Fair Complex of Riva del Garda, Baltera (I)

The intervention has been conceived in order to provide the city with a new multifunctional centre, key location for a wide range of events. The fragmentation of the area and the multi-level structure of the existing buildings directed the project strategy to solutions transforming site limits in strong points.
Within the modular shape of new pavilions, the project introduces a linear distribution of weights connecting fair sections through a spine-shaped element. This formally complex structure has been conceived in order to allow an efficient flow distribution to the pavilions redirecting it to a second level of paths and services. The project pays particular attention to the landscape context. The planning for external areas, architectonic structures, materials and weights distribution are chosen in relation to the natural environment and the proximity to a lake and mountains.
